Mode and place of processing the Data

Methods of processing

The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.

The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Owner, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of My Own Pace (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Owner at any time.

Place

The Data is processed at the Owner's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located.

Depending on the User's location, data transfers may involve transferring the User's Data to a country other than their own. To find out more about the place of processing of such transferred Data, Users can check the section containing details about the processing of Personal Data.

Detailed information on the processing of Personal Data

Analytics

The services contained in this section enable the Owner to monitor and analyze web traffic and can be used to keep track of User behavior.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics is a server-side, edge-mode analytics service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare analyzes its own server logs at the edge — no JavaScript runs in the User's browser for analytics purposes, and no beacon, pixel, or tracking script is loaded on the website.

Personal Data processed: IP address (transient, server-side), user-agent string, request metadata (URL requested, HTTP status, country derived from IP, timestamp). Aggregated only — no individual visitor tracking, no client-side storage, no cookies set, no fingerprinting.

Place of processing: United States — Privacy Policy.

Scope: Used on the website (myownpace.app) only — not in the mobile app. Server-side, cookieless; no data is stored on the User's device. See the Cookie Policy for full disclosure.

PostHog product analytics

PostHog product analytics is an analytics service provided by PostHog, Inc. that gives the Owner insight into the use of My Own Pace by Users.

Personal Data processed: browser information, browsing history, clicks, device information, IP address, page views.

PostHog also receives server-side AI telemetry events emitted by the My Own Pace AI proxy Edge Function. A $ai_generation event — PostHog's standard LLM analytics event — is sent on every successful AI request (habit evaluation, check-in generation, minimum-version generation) and on error responses; no event is sent when a request is blocked by content moderation. The event payload contains the model identifier (e.g. claude-sonnet-4-5), input, output, cache-read and cache-write token counts, estimated cost in USD, request latency in milliseconds, a purpose tag (evaluation, check-in, minimum), success or error status, and the User ID (UUID, the same distinct_id used for client-side analytics). Prompt content, AI response content, habit names, category text, and any other user-authored text are never sent — only metadata and metrics. The purpose is to monitor AI service costs, detect anomalies, and track per-feature usage and latency. Legal basis: legitimate interest in service operation, cost control and abuse detection — the same basis as the client-side analytics described above.

Place of processing: Germany — Privacy Policy.

Scope: Used in the My Own Pace mobile app only — not on the website. Server-side $ai_generation events originate from the AI proxy Edge Function, which is invoked exclusively by the mobile app.

Further information about the processing of Personal Data

Information regarding minors

This Application is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect Personal Data from, individuals under the age of 18. Use of the Application is restricted to adults due to the nature of the AI-powered features and subscription-based access.

Users are required to confirm they are at least 18 years old upon account creation. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from an individual under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

If you believe an individual under 18 has provided Personal Data to us, please contact us at hello@myownpace.app.

In-app data processing

This Application processes Personal Data directly to provide its core habit-tracking service. Data collected and stored on infrastructure operated by the Owner includes:

— Profile data: name, date of birth, country, gender, and a user-chosen companion name.
— Onboarding context: predefined selections about motivations, obstacles, and self-assessed life areas. No free text.
— Habit data: habit names, categories, frequencies, and minimum versions.
— Check-in records: status entries (completed / minimum / resting) with date and local hour. No free-text journal.
— Behavioral and progression data: companion progression, badges, milestones, last-active timestamp. Selected milestones are visible to connected friends.
— Social graph: friend connections and predefined encouragement reactions. No free-text messaging.
— Notification preferences and device push token.
— Server-side abuse defense: at signup, IP address and email domain are logged for up to 90 days for fraud prevention and account security purposes. AI request metadata (model, tokens, cost) is logged without prompt or response content; this metadata is anonymized upon account deletion and retained for cost analysis.
— AI-generated content cached on the Owner's servers, deleted upon account deletion.

Legal basis: performance of contract for service delivery, and legitimate interest for abuse prevention and operational analytics.

Most personal data is retained until account deletion. Some categories — including anonymized AI usage metadata, terms of service acceptance records, anti-abuse and security logs, contact-form submissions, and subscription/payment records — may be retained beyond deletion as detailed on our Account Deletion page.

User rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Where notifications or optional features rely on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time. Requests can be made via the in-app "Export my data" and "Delete account" functions, or by emailing hello@myownpace.app. Full details on what is deleted and what is retained are on our Account Deletion page. Users may also lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, www.azop.hr).

My Own Pace does not use Trackers for advertising or profiling.
